Painted hanging canvas - Death
DEATH | One of a 5-part series exploring the Five Pillars of Truth - Time, Life, Death, Uncertainty and Transformation.
The moth, a symbol of rebirth after death — a skull of asphodel, the immortal plant that flowers in the underworld — the waning moon — the foot of Hermes, guide of souls, crushing the butterfly Psyche, goddess of the living
Painted on waxed canvas with a hand-sewn satin backing. Mounted on a glossy wood ecclesiastical banner hanger. Canvas is 18” wide x 53” long. Hanger is 30” wide.
Waxed canvas will wrinkle, appear stiff and develop a patina at fold lines, but can be easily smoothed out with the application of heat from a hair dryer. Do NOT iron or apply direct heat.
