BOOKING A TATTOO

I open my books every two months, and only book through a form which is sent out to my mailing list. This booking form allows me to gather all the info I need to know to provide a quote for your tattoo. This form is sent out to my mailing list a day before it is posted to Instagram. Scroll down below for an overview of my booking process and what’s included in my form.

ESTIMATED BOOKING DATES:

February 1st - March & April appointments

April 1st - May & June appointments

June 1st - July & August appointments

August 1st - September & October appointments

October 1st - November & December Appointments

BOOKING PROCESS

Types of bookings: I book both flash (pre-drawn designs) and custom tattoos. Priority booking is given to flash appointments. I create new flash for each booking period, which you can view when my booking form goes live. Flash designs are booked first-come-first-served, but customs are not.

Custom design policy: I book customs based on how well I feel I will be able to execute the request. I only take on projects that align with my style, preferred subject matter and availability. In my booking form I ask you to describe your idea including size and placement, provide reference photos (preferably of my past work), and a photo of your body where you want the tattoo.

**Designs will be shared with you on the day of your appointment, not sooner.** Please make sure you are comfortable with this before booking. Minor adjustments can be made but if a redesign is needed, deposit will be void and another deposit will be required for a rescheduled appointment.

If your appointment request is accepted: I will send an invoice for a $200 deposit through Square with an estimate of what your tattoo will cost and a date and time for your appointment. If this date does not work for you you may reach out to me about another option. The deposit must be paid to secure your appointment.

Because I often receive many more inquiries than I am able to book, if your request is not able to be booked you will not receive a response from me. I will make an announcement on instagram when my books are full. You are welcome to submit again the next time my books open.

Pricing

I charge by the piece, not hourly, and will quote a price for your tattoo in your deposit invoice so there are no surprises the day of the appointment. I price based roughly on the following rates (as of Feb 2025) although It’s hard to estimate exactly how long your appointment will take, and other factors such as the difficulty of the placement and inclusion of color factor in to the price. As an illustration-based artist I usually spend more time drawing your tattoo than I do actually tattooing it, and that time is reflected in my rates.

Half Day Appointment (up to 3 hours) $700
3/4 Day Appointment (3-5 hours) $1000
Full Day Appointment (5-7 hours) $1300
Custom Design Minimum $400

For projects that require more than 6-7 hours of tattooing, we will start with one full day and complete the project with additional half or full days as needed at the rates listed above.

I will let you know if we’ll need a half, full day or multiple sessions based on your request. This information will be provided with the invoice for your deposit so be sure to review that email before you process your payment.

APPOINTMENT POLICIES & FAQ

Location: I am a resident artist at Electric Feels Studio in Dallas, Texas and provide all my tattoos at this location. I do not currently have any travel plans/guest spots lined up, but you’ll be the first to hear if/when I do by subscribing to my mailing list (above)!

Cancelation/Design Change Policy: I require 7 day minimum notice for any appointment cancelation, rescheduling or tattoo design change. Notice must be given in writing via email (not Instagram DM.) If notice is given in appropriate time, payment will carry over to a rescheduled appointment. If notice is not received within 7 days, payment is void/non-refundable/non-transferable.

Appointment times: I often have multiple sessions scheduled in a day, so if you are over 30 minutes late to your appointment I may ask you to reschedule and pay a new deposit. Appointment durations are approximate so please do not schedule anything immediately after your appointment, as I am unable to guarantee exactly when your tattoo will be completed.

Appointment etiquette: You are welcome to bring water, snacks, a blanket or whatever else you need to be comfortable during your appointment. We can always take breaks, especially during longer appointments, if you need to eat something or just rest for a bit. Breaks will not increase the cost of your tattoo. You are absolutely welcome to listen to headphones, read or watch a movie during your appointment, I don’t consider that rude at all. I tend to be a quiet tattooer anyway :) You are welcome to bring a guest to your appointment if you’d like, my station is small but we do have a nice waiting area where they can hang out.

Preparing for your appointment/tips for your first tattoo: Ensuring you are well-rested, hydrated, and have eaten before your appointment is critical. Getting a tattoo while hungover is not fun! Moisturizing and exfoliating the area to be tattooed daily for a week or so before your appointment is very helpful. You do not need to shave the area before you come in (but it’s OK if you do.) I cannot tattoo sunburned skin so make sure to wear sun protection in the days leading up to your appointment.

On the day of the appointment, avoid wearing clothing you’d be bummed to get ink on but otherwise wear whatever is comfortable. I provide pasties and gowns for chest placements. In general I discourage the use of numbing cream as it can have unpredictable effects that may interfere with the tattooing or healing process, and if it wears off during our appointment it can result in a sudden influx of pain, making the tattoo even harder to complete. If you feel strongly about using it though, please makes sure to do a patch test 24 hours before the appointment and email me before the appointment so we can discuss and I can be prepared. Aftercare instructions will be provided after your appointment and are also summarized below.

Scars/Stretch Marks/Coverups: I can tattoo over scars as long as they are completely healed by at least 2 years, as well as stretch marks. I am willing to consider coverups on a case-by-case basis depending on whether my style is a good fit and I believe the requested design/coverup solution is feasible.

Touch-ups: I offer free touch-ups within a year of your appointment. I schedule touch-up appointments at the beginning of my day - usually around 11 am (Tuesday-Friday). If you’d like to request a touch-up appointment, please email me and include a healed photo describing what you’d like touched up.

Healed photos: Even if you don’t think you need a touch-up, please send a healed pic of your tattoo if you are able! A tattoo is not truly “finished” until it has healed and settled into the skin - so I greatly appreciate these photos as an artist who is always trying to improve my craft. Healed pics are beneficial as soon as one month after the tattoo, and continue to be incredibly valuable months or years later.

Books closed? I currently book out two months at a time, so if my books are currently closed, rest assured they will open again very soon! I do not have a cancelation list, but if I have any last-minute openings I will announce them on Instagram.
