APPOINTMENT POLICIES & FAQ
Location: I am a resident artist at Electric Feels Studio in Dallas, Texas and provide all my tattoos at this location. I do not currently have any travel plans/guest spots lined up, but you’ll be the first to hear if/when I do by subscribing to my mailing list (above)!
Cancelation/Design Change Policy: I require 7 day minimum notice for any appointment cancelation, rescheduling or tattoo design change. Notice must be given in writing via email (not Instagram DM.) If notice is given in appropriate time, payment will carry over to a rescheduled appointment. If notice is not received within 7 days, payment is void/non-refundable/non-transferable.
Appointment times: I often have multiple sessions scheduled in a day, so if you are over 30 minutes late to your appointment I may ask you to reschedule and pay a new deposit. Appointment durations are approximate so please do not schedule anything immediately after your appointment, as I am unable to guarantee exactly when your tattoo will be completed.
Appointment etiquette: You are welcome to bring water, snacks, a blanket or whatever else you need to be comfortable during your appointment. We can always take breaks, especially during longer appointments, if you need to eat something or just rest for a bit. Breaks will not increase the cost of your tattoo. You are absolutely welcome to listen to headphones, read or watch a movie during your appointment, I don’t consider that rude at all. I tend to be a quiet tattooer anyway :) You are welcome to bring a guest to your appointment if you’d like, my station is small but we do have a nice waiting area where they can hang out.
Preparing for your appointment/tips for your first tattoo: Ensuring you are well-rested, hydrated, and have eaten before your appointment is critical. Getting a tattoo while hungover is not fun! Moisturizing the area to be tattooed daily for a week or so before your appointment is very helpful. You do not need to shave the area before you come in (but it’s OK if you do.) I cannot tattoo sunburned skin so make sure to wear sun protection in the days leading up to your appointment.
On the day of the appointment, avoid wearing clothing you’d be bummed to get ink on but otherwise wear whatever is comfortable. I provide pasties and gowns for chest placements. In general I discourage the use of numbing cream as it can have unpredictable effects that may interfere with the tattooing or healing process, and if it wears off during our appointment it can result in a sudden influx of pain, making the tattoo even harder to complete. If you feel strongly about using it though, please makes sure to do a patch test 24 hours before the appointment and email me before the appointment so we can discuss and I can be prepared. Aftercare instructions will be provided after your appointment and are also summarized below.
Scars/Stretch Marks/Coverups: I can tattoo over scars as long as they are completely healed by at least 2 years, as well as stretch marks. I am willing to consider coverups on a case-by-case basis depending on whether my style is a good fit and I believe the requested design/coverup solution is feasible.
Touch-ups: I offer free touch-ups within a year of your appointment. I schedule touch-up appointments at the beginning of my day - usually around 11 am (Tuesday-Friday). If you’d like to request a touch-up appointment, please email me and include a healed photo describing what you’d like touched up.
Healed photos: Even if you don’t think you need a touch-up, please send a healed pic of your tattoo if you are able! A tattoo is not truly “finished” until it has healed and settled into the skin - so I greatly appreciate these photos as an artist who is always trying to improve my craft. Healed pics are beneficial as soon as one month after the tattoo, and continue to be incredibly valuable months or years later.
Books closed? I currently book out two months at a time, so if my books are currently closed, rest assured they will open again very soon! I do not have a cancelation list, but if I have any last-minute openings I will announce them on Instagram.
