Painted hanging canvas - Transformation
TRANSFORMATION | One of a 5-part series exploring the Five Pillars of Truth - Time, Life, Death, Uncertainty and Transformation.
Faces emerging from a cloud of possibility and become a rising eagle (inspired by Native American transformation masks) — a plant that buds, flowers, grows and is ultimately consumed — the oroborous — the alchemical Squared Circle, representing the “Great Work” or philosopher’s stone, the impossible key to immortality
Painted on waxed canvas with a hand-sewn satin backing. Mounted on a glossy wood ecclesiastical banner hanger. Canvas is 18” wide x 53” long. Hanger is 30” wide.
Waxed canvas will wrinkle, appear stiff and develop a patina at fold lines, but can be easily smoothed out with the application of heat from a hair dryer. Do NOT iron or apply direct heat.
